NorthStar Clubhouse Advisory Board Member

Would you like to be part of an evidence-based, international movement for mental health recovery? We are looking for like-minded individuals with varied skillsets to join our Advisory Board.

NorthStar Clubhouse is a rehabilitation program designed to provide people recovering from a mental illness with opportunities to learn skills, such as vocational and social. We are a program of New Narrative Integrative Mental Health and an accredited location of Clubhouse International.

Through the Clubhouse Model, members gain self-worth, purpose, and confidence. There are more than 350 Clubhouses worldwide that utilize the Clubhouse Model, and many members across the world say that Clubhouses have saved their life. Extensive research shows the effectiveness of our model – and our effectiveness requires insight, experience, and engagement from our greater community. That’s where our Advisory Board comes in.

NorthStar Clubhouse Advisory Board members use their skills and position to support and enhance the growth of NorthStar Clubhouse.

We expect that Advisory Board members:

  • Support and enhance the growth of NorthStar and advocate for increased support.
  • Act as an “ambassador”: Positively represent NorthStar in the greater community to increase its visibility and strong reputation.
  • Mobilize your network of contacts by educating them about Clubhouse and provide leads for developing Transitional and Supported Employment placements with local employers.
  • Assist NorthStar in remaining consistent and compliant with the International Clubhouse Standards.
  • Support the financial solvency of the organization and generally assist in fundraising.
  • Provide legal and financial guidance.
  • Obtain resources for housing, transport, medical, dental, food, etc.
  • In partnership with Members, Staff, and the New Narrative Board of Directors, review and monitor effectiveness of all programs, services, and the performance of the NorthStar Program Director.
  • Abide by all NorthStar and New Narrative policies.

We hope you consider how your knowledge and experience can support our mission!
