Profit & Toss Cornhole Tournament Brings Together Young Professionals for a Good Cause
June 13, 2025

The OSCPA Young Professionals Committee and the Multnomah Bar Association Young Lawyers Section teamed up once again for the annual Profit & Toss Cornhole Tournament, held last night in Portland. The event brought together CPAs, attorneys, and colleagues from across the professional community for a fun-filled evening of friendly competition - all in support of a great cause.
This year’s tournament raised funds for Youth Villages, helping to support their important work with youth and families in our community.
With a strong turnout and plenty of good-spirited competition, the evening was a resounding success. After many close matches, Team Lawyer defended their title as returning champions, proving once again that their cornhole skills are as sharp as their legal minds.
“It was wonderful to see so many accounting and legal professionals come together, not just to network, but to have fun and give back to the community. ” said Jake Johnson, Chair of the Young Professionals Committee, 2024-25. "For many younger professionals, networking can feel daunting, but this inclusive, relaxed, and enjoyable event created the perfect environment for meaningful connections to form. It was truly rewarding to witness relationships being built and strengthened, with everyone clearly enjoying themselves. We're already looking forward to doing it all again next year!"
The OSCPA extends a big thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make the evening such a success. Thank you to our sponsors Perkins & Co, Sussman Shank LLP, Geffen Mesher & Company PC, and Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt PC.
