Chapter Spotlight: Nate Reagan
December 09, 2025
What motivated you to take on the role of Mid-Columbia Chapter Chair, and what excites you most about serving this community of CPAs?
Personally, I decided to step up because I do value the professional community, we have here in the Mid-Columbia region. We are small but there are many talented and dedicated CPAs who care deeply for their clients. As a community the Chapter provides an opportunity for us all to come together even if only every few years.
Small chapters often have a unique sense of connection. What are your hopes for strengthening engagement or creating new opportunities for the Mid-Columbia Chapter?
My hope would be to bring some connection outside of our offices, to help members get to know each other, collaborate, teach, and learn from each other as our profession faces many challenges. We accountants get a little bogged down and need to remember to leverage each other as a community.
What’s something you enjoy about living and working in The Dalles that you think other Oregon CPAs might not know — or that makes practicing in the Mid-Columbia region particularly rewarding?
The beauty of working in the Mid-Columbia region is the small town feel and limited tie selection in your closet. We are many towns within 20 miles of each other on two sides of the river but ultimately all operate as one region. The variety of clients in the Mid-Columbia Region is amazing to work with and learn from! The work life balance for me, moving to the region in 1996 from Idaho, has been very rewarding and a place to build a fantastic career along with family and ultimate recreation freedom!
