- How to Scale Your Practice by Leveraging Systems & Technology

Adam Lean, Co-founder and CEO, The CFO Project

Adam Lean

Adam Lean is a former accountant turned 2-time entrepreneur who built, scaled, and sold two businesses. While helping other business owners, he realized his passion was teaching and providing tools to business owners to help them make more money and have a peace-of-mind. He currently runs The CFO Project - a training company that turns accountants and bookkeepers into high-earning CFOs for small businesses.

(12/29/25)

Attendees will learn how to scale their practice (increase revenue without a subsequent increase in costs) while leveraging systems and technology. Most accounting firms are relying on the owner to be the "technician". To scale (and increase value in the firm), the owner needs to transition from being the one who does the work to the one who manages the work through systems. This workshop will show them how.

The 90-Day Gauntlet: How to Protect Your Client (and Their $20M Offer) When the Buyer Wants to Move Fast. What should a CPA do when a client calls out of the blue and says, “I just got an unsolicited offer to sell my company—and the buyer wants to close in 90 days”? This session walks you through the high-stakes world of fast-track M&A deals, where timing is tight, due diligence is compressed, and small missteps can cost millions.

In this practical and fast-paced presentation, M&A attorney Adam Rose will equip CPAs with a strategic playbook for guiding clients through the first 72 hours after an unexpected offer—when decisions made (or deferred) have outsized impact. You’ll learn how to help clients assemble the right team, protect their leverage, avoid common traps in early-stage documents, and position for either a successful sale or a smart exit from a bad deal.
