Adam Rose, Rose Law Firm
Adam Rose is the founder of Rose Law Firm, P.C., and has spent more than 27 years advising successful companies throughout Oregon, Washington, and California. His practice integrates corporate strategy, complex commercial transactions, and litigation support, helping clients overcome critical legal and business challenges with clarity and confidence.
With a deep understanding of corporate law, Adam has guided companies through mergers and acquisitions, ownership transitions, fiduciary duty compliance, and the ratification of defective corporate acts. His insights have been published in the Portland Business Journal, including his article "Selling Your Business to a Competitor Can Fetch a Better Price," and his legal writing has contributed to continuing legal education materials for the Oregon State Bar.
Adam's commercial experience spans joint ventures, licensing, manufacturing, transportation, real estate, and finance agreements—where he is known for bringing structure to complexity and helping businesses protect value. He also advises on litigation strategy in high-stakes disputes, including equity owner conflicts, shareholder rights cases, derivative actions, and securities litigation.
Recognized for his excellence in practice, Adam is most proud that Rose Law Firm was recognized as one of Oregon's Top 20 Most Admired Law Firms in 2024; and has received numerous other professional honors, including being selected multiple times as an Oregon Super Lawyer, and awarded Portland Business Journal's Forty Under 40 early in his career. Outside the office, Adam thrives on adventure. He has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and Mt. Anthony Hunt is a natural communicator who partners with clients to design and maintain employee benefit plans that attract and retain top talent. Anthony specializes in qualified retirement plans, 403(b) and 457(b) plans, and the gamut of health and welfare plans. Francis Astilla, Senior Vice President, Banner Bank
Francis Astilla has been in the Banking industry for 26 years. 17 years of his career was spent with Citibank in various capacities. During his tenure there he held leadership roles in Consumer and Investment Banking, Bank at Work, and Private Label Commercial Credit. In 2018 he assumed the role as SVP, National Head of Sales for SBA and Business Banking for Cathay Bank where he was also highly involved with Retail Banking, CRA and Marketing where he became the bank spokesperson for various initiatives and events.
Francis joined Banner Bank August of 2024 as the Business Banking Manager tasked to lead the bank's expansion efforts in the Los Angeles market. In February 2025, Francis welcomed the opportunity to help champion the business development activities for Banner's SBA team as the SBA Sales Manager, overseeing SBA sales production for Banner's 4 state footprint: Washington, Oregon, Idaho and California.

Phillip Chou, Ambrose Advisors
Phillip Chou is one of the co-founders and a senior managing director at Ambrose Advisors. He has over 20 years of relevant experience in investment banking and corporate strategy/development. He has advised clients across a wide spectrum of industries in the structuring and execution of ESOP buyouts, mergers & acquisitions, capital raising and valuation projects.
Prior to joining Ambrose, Phillip was an executive director at Eureka Capital, a reputable middle-market investment banking firm, and he was responsible for execution of approximately 50 engagements. Prior to Eureka, he was a vice president at BCC Partners, LLC, a boutique investment banking firm with a strong focus in complex ESOP buyout transactions. Before BCC, he was a portfolio manager for Far East National Bank, a U.S. subsidiary of a leading commercial bank in the Greater China region. Prior to that, he was an analyst at Ballenger Cleveland & Issa, LLC, a boutique consulting practice specializing in turnaround and distressed engagements. Before his employment with BCI, he was a member of the corporate leadership development program at Pacific Century CyberWorks, the largest telecommunications service company in Hong Kong, where he focused on corporate finance and strategic planning.
Phillip received an MBA from the University of California, Irvine and a BA in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. He has successfully completed all levels of the CPA exam and holds his Series 7 and 66 Securities Registrations through FINRA. Phillip is a member of ESOP Association's Finance Advisory Committee, and serves as a Director on the Board of an 100% ESOP-owned company.
