Congratulations to Lindsey Ivie, Becker Professional Education quarterly drawing winner

Lindsey Ivie is enrolled at Portland State University for her second major, pursuing a B.S. in accounting. Lindsey is transitioning to a new career after thirteen years as a personal assistant in the Portland area. She will graduate in December 2027 and will be eligible to sit for the CPA exam. Her goal is to find a local internship, gain experience, and find work as an accountant after graduation. She appreciates the flexibility and variety of roles available in this field. She was inspired to pursue a degree in accounting by her mentor, a CPA in Portland, for over forty years before he passed in 2020. Lindsey is excited to study for the CPA exam using the Becker CPA exam review and looks forward to this new challenge.

Outside of work and school, Lindsey enjoys volunteering with a group that provides meals and hospitality for women with unstable housing and assists with financial literacy for local independent contractors. She also enjoys her time off with her fiancée and senior chihuahua, and they are adopting another senior dog. Together, they spend time hiking at Forest Park, trying new recipes at home, and enjoying movie marathons. Lindsey is excited about this next step in her life.
