According to the AICPA, in early May, Prometric opened over 100 test centers across 34 markets in the US for the testing of multiple professions, including CPAs. All current information regarding the Prometric centers can be found at https://www.prometric.com/site-openings.
Many sites are still closed due to state and local government restrictions, and Prometric will open additional centers as soon as it is safe and legal to do so. Candidates should check the site-openings link often. The page will be updated daily.
The testing centers listed on the Prometric website are the only locations currently open to schedule or reschedule testing dates.
- If a candidate previously scheduled a testing appointment at a center that is not open, they should have received a cancellation notice and they will need to reschedule the exam.
- If a candidate happens to have scheduled an exam at a site which is now open, they should proceed with the appointment as usual, EXCEPT they should be aware that they will need to follow guidelines for COVID-19 precautions, which can be found here: https://www.prometric.com/covid-19-update/social-distancing-policies.

According to the Oregon Board website, in the case of site closures, the BOA will work closely with NASBA to extend testing windows for candidates who have exams scheduled and are affected by a closure. If eligibility to sit for the exam expires June 30, NASBA is working with states to extend the deadline to September 30. If the 18-month eligibility period expires June 30, the candidate must apply to the BOA to extend that deadline.
Questions about specific situations and extensions should be directed to the Board of Accountancy. https://www.oregon.gov/boa/Pages/index.aspx
