Paid Leave is a new program that will allow workers in Oregon to take paid time off for some of life’s most important moments. Employers will begin payroll contributions in January 2023, and workers will be able to apply for benefits in September 2023. Starting in September of this year, businesses can begin submitting applications for equivalent plans as an alternative to participating in Paid Leave Oregon. Join members of Paid Leave Oregon’s outreach team for an overview of the new program and learn about what makes an equivalent plan, what the requirements are, and how to apply.
