Leaders
Jennifer Dale
Jennifer returned to Aldrich in 2018 after nine years with a local accounting firm and working as a controller with two large Portland-area nonprofits. Here at Aldrich, Jennifer works closely with clients from a variety of industries including the nonprofit, construction, and healthcare fields.
Jennifer took a unique path to public accounting: after earning a degree in journalism, she began her career as a staff reporter for the Associated Press in Denver. While covering a large story on accounting fraud, she recognized a need to better understand the business language and concepts she was reporting on, and was inspired to pursue her MBA. Having discovered a passion for using numbers and data to make informed decisions in the business world, Jennifer obtained her CPA license and began her career in public accounting at Aldrich’s Salem office (then AKT CPAs).
Jennifer enjoys collaborating with business owners and other key players, using finance and data analysis to help them understand the ‘big picture’ of their business. As a former reporter, Jennifer has a natural curiosity for small details and a strong desire to dig deep and problem solve. She is passionate about solving problems and going above and beyond to help her clients achieve their goals.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from University of Colorado, Boulder and an MBA from Willamette University, where she serves as an Assistant Professor of Accounting. She is a licensed CPA and a member of the American Institute of CPAs. She is a regular public speaker on topics such as nonprofit accounting and financial reporting. Finally, Jennifer is actively engaged in her community as a board member and past president of Broadway Rose Theatre Company, and as an appointed member of the Lake Oswego Schools’ Bond Accountability Committee.
