Description

This module will focus on accepted techniques to determine and support reasonable replacement compensation for management, taxation and business appraisal purposes. The instructor will draw on over 3 decades of experience as a testifying financial expert on compensation related matters. This event may be a rebroadcast of a live event and the instructor will be available to answer your questions during the event.

Objectives

Participants will:

  • Gain knowledge of landmark case law in compensation related matters
  • Understand how to apply the multi-factor test and independent investor test
  • Gain insight into IRS challenges on compensation related tax matters

Major Subjects

The content will cover landmark US Tax Court case law, as well as case law from dissolution of marriage cases. The multi-factor test and independent investor test will be explored in detail with examples of how each test is employed in practice.
