Really Simple Syndication, or RSS, is a means of delivering headlines, news, and summaries directly to your computer. The OSCPA updates its site frequently with tax news, press releases, money management columns and other important information. By subscribing to the OSCPA RSS feed, you can automatically obtain this updated information and have immediate access to important OSCPA and accounting headlines. How do I get started?Setting up your RSS feed may seem like a daunting task, but by simply choosing one of the three methods below, you will be receiving automatic updates in no time!
1. Internet Explorer 7.0 Favorites
- If you haven't already done so, upgrade your browser to Internet Explorer 7.0 now. It's free!
- Once Internet Explorer 7.0 is installed, browse to the OSCPA's Feed page , also available by clicking the orange RSS icon
 on the top left of every page on the OSCPA site.
- Click on the link at the top of the feed page that says, "Subscribe to this feed"
- When the window pops up, select the Subscribe button
- Click on the yellow star icon in your Internet Explorer 7.0 browser, opening your Favorites Center. You will now see a link that says, "OSCPA RSS Feed". Click the link to review all the latest news and headlines that will be brought into your Favorites Center automatically.
- Now, each time you are on one of your favorite sites and see the RSS button light up, click on it to subscribe to that feed as well!
2. Subscribe to a RSS Reader - Google and Yahoo! both offer free web-based Readers and have tutorials that make setting them up a snap.
3. Bookmark the Feed - While book marking the feed is not the most preferred method (because it doesn't deliver the information automatically), you will still be able to view a list of all the latest news and information at a single location. To ensure you are viewing the most up to date feeds, select the Refresh button in your browser to eliminate any page "caching". The URL to bookmark is http://www.orcpa.org/rss.aspx .

There is a wealth of wonderful accounting related sources available on the Internet.
