Douglas J. Van Der Aa, CPA, JD, is a lively and energetic speaker – especially on the subject of taxes and ethics. He has been a highly rated speaker (consistently rating over 4.75 for both knowledge and presentation) and seminar leader for the AICPA, FTW, CPA associations and other organizations throughout the country  or more than 15 years.

Doug has over 30 years of professional experience, including tax practice in CPA firms and the practice of transactional business and real estate law as an attorney. As a CPA, Doug’s practice concentrated on the tax needs of closely held businesses, with their related passthrough entities, complex individual returns, estates and trusts.

Doug is the president of Van Der Aa Tax Ed, LLC, based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and specialized in tax and accounting matters facing today’s tax practitioner.
