Society Events
Tour Stops - State-of-the-Profession Updates
Tour Stops (formerly Town Halls) help keep members informed on issues affecting the profession here in Oregon, nationally and internationally. Tour Stops, held annually in September, October and November, give members throughout the state an opportunity to learn about issues facing the profession and to share and exchange ideas with the OSCPA Board of Directors and management team. Watch this website and the Society magazine during July and August for more information as meeting logistics are finalized.
Career Showcase
Each year in the fall the OSCPA invites college students to meet with representatives from Oregon's top accounting firms, industry organizations and government agencies with approved mentoring programs; and colleges and universities. Accounting professionals discuss the management philosophies and career opportunities within their organizations and the accounting profession. Students are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes as this is the biggest recruiting event for the accounting profession in Oregon. Career Showcase is a great opportunity for students to talk face-to-face with potential employers in an informal career fair setting!
New Professionals Networking Events
The OSCPA Career Development Strategic Interest Team sponsors networking events throughout the year for new professionals. These events are open to OSCPA members who are certified with no more than seven years of experience and OSCPA Associate-Uncertified members.
In addition, OSCPA members with seven years or less experience, may join other new CPAs for a casual evening of networking in late spring. Watch the Web site for more information.
Circle of Excellence
Once each year the OSCPA honors new CPAs, exceptional accounting students, OSCPA award winners and others at a reception dinner. The event is held in the Portland area. Strategic Leadership Forum and Annual Meeting 
Held each spring, this forum kicks off the new year and provides training for OSCPA leaders. All members are invited to attend the annual meeting breakfast held during the Strategic Leadership Forum.
